DIGGIN’ IN THE CELLARS


When DITC came to me, their family of Melbourne hospo venues all sounded the same, especially on social. But in real life, each had its own distinct vibe. And tone of voice isn’t something you just appoint—it has to emerge from that vibe. Obvious, but often overlooked.

So I dug in the cellars. I visited each venue, took notes, chatted to the teams. All to uncover stories that felt true to each space. What came out wasn’t just a tone-of-voice guideline, but more like brand character work.

Each venue walked away with a finely tuned backstory to shape its voice, guide content, and show up more like itself through language—online and off.
